Staff

The Priory employs a large staff of nurses, care assistants, chefs, cooks, laundry and house keeping personnel. The care assistants are all experienced and a number have vocational qualifications specialising in the care of the elderly.

In addition to our care staff there is a qualified nurse on duty at all times, day and night.

The Home is affiliated to the Wye Valley Practice and a doctor from that practice holds a weekly surgery at the Home. This enables frequent opportunities to review each resident’s health; however it is not compulsory to register with the Home's doctor if you wish to keep your existing G.P. A physiotherapist and hairdresser are also employed by the home on a full time basis and we have weekly visits from chiropodists, opticians and dentists.

Spiritual care is provided by several religious denominations who visit the Home regularly and there is a bi-weekly communion service.
